Learn to play!
Students with no previous music experience are invited to begin their musical journey in this week-long summer camp. Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of their instrument of choice, including sound production, rhythm, and basic ensemble playing. Through guided instruction and collaborative music-making, students will begin playing songs within just a few days and share their learning in a culminating performance at the end of the week.
At the end of camp, they’ll be invited to keep learning in our Foundations program, which starts Fall 2026.

A limited number of full-tuition scholarships are available. If paying tuition is a barrier for your family right now, please email programs@seattlejazzed.org to request a code for a no-tuition option.
If you’re able to choose a level that is above standard tuition, your support will go even farther to ensure:
Every student has access to JazzED programs, regardless of their ability to pay.
Teaching artists can earn a livable wage while mentoring and inspiring our next generation of musicians.
A new Washington State law (ESSB 5814) requires us to add sales tax to tuition. Sales tax will apply to all tuition amounts up to our standard tuition level.
You can also read our refund policy (recommended).
