Learn to play an instrument in ONE week at Summer Jazz Foundations Camp!
Designed for students going into grades 4-8 with little to no experience.
Our Summer Jazz Foundations Camp is perfect for beginner students. Students can choose from the following instruments: flute, clarinet, sax, trumpet, trombone, guitar, bass, drums, violin, and cello. Campers will begin reading music and learn to play songs in a beginning band. At the end of camp, they’ll be invited to keep learning in our Foundations program, which starts Fall 2024.
This camp is offered on a sliding scale from $0 to $600.

2024 CAMP DATES
Monday, July 8 - Friday, July 12
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, daily
Campers are required to attend Meet Your Instrument Day on Sunday, May 19. If you’re registering after May 19, you will receive a confirmation email with an alternative way to pick an instrument. For questions and support, please email programs@seattlejazzed.org.

SLIDING SCALE TUITION
We are committed to this program being financially accessible for ALL families.
Sliding scale rate: $0 to $600.
You select the tuition amount that works for you. Your tuition payment helps cover the cost of renting class space and paying our educators a fair wage, as well as classroom supplies, sheet music, etc. You can find our refund policy here (recommended).
INSTRUMENTS
Pick from Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Cello, Violin or Drums.
Every student gets:
class materials and needed accessories
a free JazzED t-shirt
an instrument to use at camp* (if needed)
*A completed Instrument Loan Form is required if your student needs to use a JazzED instrument for the summer.
